Practice tests are provided to help you prepare for the tests that you may take in the Extension Office. Completing the practice tests will be very helpful in preparing for the Extension Office tests.

Practice tests are provided at the Intermediate and Senior Levels. Within each level there is a Beef Emphasis, Swine Emphasis and Multispecies practice exam. Even though you may intend to only take one of the tests at the Extension Office, it may be helpful to take more than one of the practice tests. For best preparation, it is suggested you take a multispecies practice test and one of the species emphasis tests.

The study materials for the Intermediate level tests are the information on this website or the 4-H publicaton 4H337 "Assuring Quality". The study materials for the Senior level tests are 4H337, the Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance Manual, and the National Pork Producers Pork Quality Assurance manual.

The practice tests will provide you immediate feedback on whether an answer was correct, and if not, why it was not correct. Reading these responses will be helpful in preparing for the actual tests.

The actual tests are available and must be taken at your county Extension Office. If you are taking a senior level test, you may request the beef, swine or multi-species emphasis test. Passing is 70%. The intermediate level tests have 25 multiple choice questions, the senior level have 30 multiple choice questions.
